Abstract

The study presented is a qualitative and bibliographical research, which aims to analyze and understand educational aspects in the forms of work, daily life and resistance of “babaçu coconut breakers”, considering MATOPIBA - Maranhão, Piauí, Tocantins and Bahia, a region of agribusiness expansion and the Interstate Movement of Babaçu Coconut Breakers - (MIQCB), based in Imperatriz - MA. To develop the proposal, bibliographies were collected that deal with education concepts; coconut breakers, work, territory and social articulation, so the research is structured on educational concepts and reflections on the social articulation of coconut breakers. It was concluded that the most significant contributions identified were from popular education and informal education, given that peasant coconut breakers articulate and reinvent themselves.
