NETWORKS TO COMBAT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN
Abstract
The article consists of a critical reflection on the performance from the Networks to Combat Domestic Violence against Women in the city of São Paulo. Its objective is to analyze the directions in professional performance and the effectiveness of legislation and programs created to protect women in situations of domestic violence. Methodologically, qualitative research was used, based on a bibliographic study and documental analysis of public hearings and meetings of teams that make up the Coping Networks. For the systematization of relevant knowledge and understanding of the historical, social and political contexts, the creation and implementation of policy and plans to combat violence against women in professional daily life are identified. Finally, the challenges of functioning are mentioned, as well as the consequences caused by gender inequalities aggravated by the conservatism that directly affects services and professionals involved in the structural confrontation of oppression.
