Abstract

This interview was conducted in person with University of Sierra Leone (USL) professor Elizabeth Lucy Alberta Kamara, and is one of the results of the academic mobility/field research carried out in Freetown by AUTOR. The meeting with Kamara took place in December 2024 and was only possible thanks to the financial support provided by the Fundação de Apoio à Pesquisa do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul (FAPERGS). The interview covered topics such as generations of Sierra Leonean writers, thematic agendas, the relationship between economy, society, history and literature, etc. The contributions of the educator, poet and researcher interviewed open up paths for future academic work that focuses on Sierra Leonean literature, a field that has been little studied in the area of History in Brazil.
